Undulatus Cabinet, 2021.

The ‘Undulatus’ cabinet embodies nature’s ability to relieve stress, soothe our minds and provide us with conscious bodily sensory experiences. To create a poetic experience, the cabinet doors offer abstract motifs and reliefs, inspired by layered structures found in the Swedish Dalsland forest (tree bark, tree rings etc), triggering instinctive fascination and our hand to wonder curiousily.

In this project, the developed marquetry technique merges both traditional and high technology techniques, unveiling the craft’s tremendous potential as a contemporary practice for the furniture and design field.
